Hello fellow South Sound beer lovers! With tickets now on sale for the inaugural South Sound Brewers Fest 2026, it's time to get excited about what promises to be the highlight of Puyallup's summer. On August 29 at McMillin Farm Collective, we'll blend local craft beer, live music, farm vibes, and community spirit—all benefiting Celebrate HARVEST. If you're on the fence, here are my top 5 reasons why this event is unmissable. Let's dive in!

1. Discover Exceptional Local Craft Beers
Experience unlimited tastings from 10 top South Sound breweries, all within 20 miles of the farm—like McMillin Farm Brewhouse, Odd Otter Brewing, Firemind Brewing, Griffin Brewing, Top Down Brewing, Off Camber Brewing, and more. From hop-forward IPAs to innovative farm-inspired brews, breweries will be judged in three categories: Best IPA, Best Non-IPA and Best use of Local Ingredients. But probably most important of all is the People's Choice award. Each attendee casts a vote for their favorite poured beer. The winner of People's Choice is featured on tap at McMillin Brewhouse during the month of September. Come celebrate Washington's hop heritage right where it thrives!

2. Groove to Live Music in a Picturesque Setting
Headlined by Sumner favorites Santa Poco with their original high-energy honky-tonk tunes. Sons of the Force with their original rock tunes. The Cloves, another Sumner favorite, will kick off the day with their original pop and rock style. Music runs from 12–8 PM alongside the brewfest, and it is included in your ticket price. Imagine sipping a cold one while dancing under the open sky—pure South Sound magic that turns a beer tasting into a full-blown party.

3. Immerse Yourself in Puyallup's Farm Heritage
Set on a working farm with rolling fields and barn views. We'll have a "tractor train" tour for the kids, taking them through the valley's richest farmland. Learn about our farm-grown ingredients like corn and rhubarb that go into your beers. See the chickens and the goats - who doesn't love a goat? Learn all about what the future holds for McMillin Farm. It's educational, scenic, and ties directly to our farm-to-glass ethos.

4. Savor Diverse Food from Local Trucks
Pair your pours with eats from 10 food trucks, including Grillin' Gorilla's savory bites, Galileo's Pizza amazing scratch crust wood-fired authentic Italian pizza, Lumpia Love's delectable Filipino flavors, the fabulous Morena's Mexican favorites, Dancing Boots and Beans coffee, Mustard n Mischief's fantastic hot dog selection and more. From hearty meals to sweet treats, there's something for every palate to keep the energy high all day.

5. Support a Meaningful Cause While Having Fun
I would say the most important reason to attend this year's South Sound Brewers Fest is that all proceeds benefits Celebrate HARVEST, empowering local agritourism, farm scholarships, and community agriculture. You're not just attending a fest—you're investing in the future of South Sound farms and the next generation of innovators. Come meet the good folks from Celebrate HARVEST and experience their passion for farming.
